What to Do if Your Docking Drawer Has No PowerUpdated a year ago

So, you have installed your Docking Drawer outlet, but it’s not receiving power? Or maybe you’ve had your outlet for a while and are just now experiencing an issue with powering your outlet? Our Troubleshooting Guide will walk you through common scenarios that may result in your Docking Drawer outlet lacking power and provide some possible solutions.

Steps to Troubleshoot Your Blade Series Outlet:

Step 1: Reset the Docking Drawer interlocking thermostat by pressing hard on the thermostat using finger pressure to reset it. Note that the thermostat will not click when reset. If the outlet is still not receiving power, follow the remaining steps below for troubleshooting the issue.

Step 2: Find out if the outlet ever worked after it was installed. This will help you understand if the issue is related to the initial installation or if it's a recent problem.

Step 3: Determine if there is no power on any of the AC outlets and USB ports. If some outlets or ports have power while others don't, it could indicate a defective outlet, and replacing it might be necessary.

15 amp Blade Duo Outlet = 4-8 AC/USB-A/USB-C ports, depending on configuration

15 amp Blade Outlet = 2-4 AC/USB-A/USB-C ports, depending on configuration

Step 4: Test the appliance/device you are trying to power by plugging it directly into a wall outlet. If the appliance doesn't work even when connected directly, try using another device to test the outlet's functionality. This step helps identify if the issue lies with the Docking Drawer or the appliance/device.

Step 5: Ensure that the Docking Drawer is securely plugged into the wall outlet. Check for any loose connections or damaged power cords.

Step 6: Verify whether or not there is power coming from the wall outlet where the Docking Drawer is plugged in. Use a small appliance that is confirmed to be working and plug it into a different wall outlet to determine if the issue is with the wall outlet or the Docking Drawer outlet. If it's determined that no power is coming from the wall outlet, we recommend contacting a qualified electrician to address the electrical issue.

Step 7: Initiate a replacement process with Docking Drawer if the outlet still fails to power on after resetting the thermostat and all other troubleshooting steps have been exhausted.
