4 Key Cabinet Measurements

You need 4 KEY CABINET MEASUREMENTS to confirm that a Style Drawer Blade or a Style Drawer Blade Flush will fit into your cabinet.

Step 1

Measure Cabinet Depth

Start by measuring the cabinet's depth.

Unlike Docking Drawer Blade In-Drawer Charging Outlets which come in one size, Style Drawer In-Drawer Powering Outlets are offered in 3 sizes (24, 21, and 18) based on the CABINET DEPTH. For example, a Style Drawer 21 is designed to for cabinet depths up to 21" deep.

Style Drawer Blade and Style Drawer Blade Duo come in two sizes - 24 and 21. Style Drawer Flush comes in 3 sizes - 24, 21,18 and are best for Narrow Drawer installations.

Style Drawer Blade, Style Drawer Blade Duo and Style Drawer Flush In-Drawer Powering Outlets are designed to fit into base cabinets from 6" UP TO 24" deep (Have deeper cabinets? No problem, call us for more details.)


Step 2

Measure Drawer Box Width

Measure the drawer box width (outer dimensions - OD).

Remember - The deeper the cabinet, the wider the cable management arms which is why understanding the drawer box width measurement is important.


Step 3

Measure Space Behind Drawer Box

Measure the space available behind the drawer box.


Style Drawer Blade and Style Drawer Blade Duo In-Drawer Powering Outlets require a MINIMUM of 2" of space behind the drawer box.
Style Drawer Flush In-Drawer Powering Outlets require a MINIMUM of 5" of space behind the drawer box.


Step 4

Measure Interior Drawer Box Depth

Measure the interior drawer box height from the bottom of the drawer box the the top of the drawer box. Powering outlets requires a MINIMUM of 4" of interior drawer box height in order to provide enough material to surround the receptacle box.



Pro Tip - Style Drawer Blade and Style Drawer Blade Duo outlets can be mounted vertically as well.

Will It Fit in My Cabinet?

Now that we know the 4 KEY MEASUREMENTS of the cabinet, we can confirm if a Style Drawer Blade, Style Drawer Blade Duo or Style Drawer Flush Duo will fit using the back page of our literature to gather the correct outlet specifications.

1. Cabinet Depth

If the cabinet is up to 24" deep -

If your cabinet is up to 21" deep -

2. Drawer Box Width (OD)

  • Fit into wider taller drawers

Style Drawer Flush

  • Fit into narrower and shorter drawers

3. Space Behind the Drawer Box

Style Drawer Blade and Style Drawer Blade Duo -

  • More than 2"

Style Drawer Flush -

  • More than 5"

4. Interior Drawer Box Height

For Style Drawer 24 -

  • If the drawer box width is more than 16" then the minimum interior drawer box height is 5.25"
  • If the drawer box width is more than 17.75" then the minimum interior drawer box height is 4"
Pro Tip - For Vertical Organizers the minimum drawer height is 17.75"

For Style Drawer 21 -

  • If the drawer box width is more than 14.25" then the minimum interior drawer box height is 5.25"
  • If the drawer box width is more than 16.25" then the minimum interior drawer box height is 4"

Pro Tip - If the cabinets drawers are narrow, focus on specifying a Style Drawer Flush. The cable management arms are narrower than the Style Drawer Blade cable management arms. Remember that Style Drawer Flush outlets need 5" of space behind the drawer box.
